Brian participated in the “Artist & Chef” event at the 2008 Las Vegas Art Expo where the head pastry chef for the Mandalay Bay Hotel created a confection inspired by one of O’Neill’s floral paintings. Art Business News covered the event and O’Neill appeared in their November 2008 issue with an interview regarding the collaboration and his work.
In the spring of 2009 Brian was accepted to begin an apprenticeship at the world renowned Waichulis Studio in Mountain Top, PA. The commitment to excellence practiced at The Waichulis Studio quickly proved to be a perfect fit for O'Neill's love of realism and representational art and an exciting addition to his continued journey toward artistic expression and growth. O’Neill has been able to build the bridge between two worlds by being proficient in hyper-realism oil painting and his dynamic and expressive “Organic Abstraction.” These seemingly opposite aesthetics show the broad and deep range of O’Neill’s work and have been collected enthusiastically across the world.
